Chinese smartphone manufacturer Huawei, known for its budget Android handset, Ideos; has announced its debut into the premium smartphone world. Called Vision, the smartphone is currently still in its prototype stage, but the company expects the device to compete with the big boys in the industry – Samsung, and HTC. The phone will pack a 3.7” display and will ship with Android 2.3 (Gingerbread). The operating system will have Huawei’s own customized 3D interface (similar to what HTC has for its own devices).

Specs haven’t been revealed, but they’re expected to be along the lines of the current high-end smartphones (dual-core processors, 4G connectivity, front facing camera etc). Huawei also mentioned that the Vision should be upgradable to Icecream Sandwich at the end of 2011. The Huawei Vision is expected to be launched in the second half of 2011 and will cost between $410 (£250) and $657 (£400).

Sharp has just released a new Android phone in China, the Sharp SH7218U. The handset is a clamshell phone and has dual screen.

The first screen is a 1.4-inch OLED external display with resolution of 192×64 pixel and showing phone status, also call ID. The second screen is a rotating 3.4-inch Mobile ASV touchscreen display with multitouch and resolution of 480 x 854 pixels.

Sharp SH7218U clamshell Android phone is boasts a 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor, 512MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and runs Android 2.2.1 with Sharp Dian Xin UI.

This Sharp SH7218U flip smartphone is equipped with Wi-Fi, micro USB port, and microSD card slot. Dimensions of Sharp SH7218U are 111 x 50 x 20.8 mm and weight 143 grams.

LG has rolled out its new Android smartphone called the LG Optimus Life. The handset is comes with a lot of marvelous features and various color options – silver, aqua blue, pink, red, and titan.

Acer has gone ahead and announced its Liquid Metal Android 2.2 smartphone following an earlier leak that we had reported. The phone will carry 3.6-inch display, be wrapped in metal, and have curved top and bottom edges. It will run Google’s Froyo of Android and will utilize a Qualcomm 800 MHz processor, similar to that found on the HTC Desire Z and the T-Mobile G2 for the U.S. market. Additionally, the Liquid Metal will also have a WiFi b/g/n radio, support for 14 Mbps HSDPA networks, and a 5-megapixel camera with flash and 720p HD video recording. DLNA is also supported and Acer has also included Dolby support, like on the Nokia N8. Tethering is also supported out of the box.
There will be two color variations for the phone. The brown version will ship in November in the UK while a silver version will be coming in December. Both iterations will be priced at £299 and will feature the company’s Breeze user interface.

Motorola has just introduced newest smartphone in South Korea that namely the Motorola MIX. It is running on Android 2.1 with MOTOBLUR UI.
New Motorola MIX is very similar to Motorola QUENCH, which was announced at the Mobile World Congress 2010 (Barcelona, Spain). The Moto MIX smartphone will distribute over SK Telecom. It is available in several colors – such as red and purple.

The Huawei Ideos X6 is a flagship device and packs a 4.1-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 480 x 800 pixels (WVGA), Bluetooth, Wi-Fi and GPS, 5 megapixel camera with flash and record 720p HD video, FM tuner, MicroSD memory card slot, and an HDMI connector to connect to HDTV.
Huawei Ideos X6 Android smartphone is boasts a 1GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, 512MB RAM, and 2GB of internal memory.
The Huawei Ideos X5 phone has features a 3.8-inch touchscreen display, Bluetooth, WiFi, and a 5MP camera. Huawei Ideos X5 is a mid-range Android smartphone.
Huawei is scheduling to release the Ideos X5 by the end of 2010 and the Ideos X5 in early 2011.
