Pay monthly mobile phones from Vodafone

Some solid pictures of the first iPAQ in a long time have surfaced, and it looks like it’s packing Windows Mobile 6.5. The K3, code-named “Obsidian” isn’t anything especially impressive, but it sure is stylish.

Based on what we had heard before, the K3 should be packing tri-band HSDPA, quad-band GSM, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, aGPS, 2.8? QVGA touchscreen, 2 megapixel camera with LED flash (although these pictures show a 3.2 megapixel camera with no flash), and 256 MB RAM. What we’ve learned from this first look is that it will be running on a 7200a Qualcomm processor, clocking in at 528 Mhz, and support microSD and 3.5mm inputs.

Considering we’re seeing a live working unit now, the previously speculated November 30 seems pretty far – it wouldn’t be surprising to see the K3 actually land sometime this fall.

Is this really happening? Are we all collectively in some sort of lucid, dreamlike state where Garmin-branded cellphones flow like water, or is this the real deal? Correct us if we’re wrong, readers — but if we’re reading this press release correctly, Taiwanese folks will have a crack at Garmin-Asus’ nuvifone G60 come the 27th of this month, just a few days from now; Singapore and Malaysia will have theirs meanwhile by the end of August, and Europe and the US are “on schedule” for the second half of the year (we hesitate to associate the phrase “on schedule” with this product, but we’ll let it slide this time). If WinMo is more your cup of tea, the M20 will be coming to Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia in August as expected — the US isn’t on the roadmap for this one, but Europe should have it later this half. These phones have taken so long to arrive that they’ll be fighting an uphill battle against irrelevance — but with the reality that handsets will be all but replacing dedicated portable nav units in the coming years, it’s a play that Garmin’s gotta still be eager to make nonetheless.

In an effort to boost sales of its low-end QWERTY phone, Motorola i465 Clutch, Boost Mobile will offer the iDEN device in a graphite color starting from next Tuesday. I must admit that the newly colored Clutch looks much better than the original and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it hit portfolios of other carriers which offer the device — i.e. Sprint and Telus.

The price you ask? It’s $129.99 sans any contracts signed, which is not bad especially for those who rely on push-to-talk and text messaging on a daily basis…

No, that’s not a Blurrycam shot of a rumored Palm Pre follow-up with a rotating screen. It’s actually one of the more extreme cases of the Palm Pre “twisting” right out of its shell, which, as far as we can tell, still seems to be a fairly rare occurrence. This particular Pre belongs to one Royer, who was apparently able to get it replaced without too much hassle, but other folks are also reporting some slight screen wobble, and even a few cracks appearing here and there. Somewhat interestingly, Royer says that the Sprint repair center he went to said they’re not allowed to try to fix the Palm Pre, and are instead instructed to simply exchange it for a new one. So, has your Palm Pre learned any new moves it shouldn’t have? Let us know in comments.

Few days ago we spotted at that time unannounced Samsung S9110, adding it will probably be an all-touchscreen device. We we right in some sense, but we didn’t know it will be a watch phone. We now have some additional details to share.

First of all, it’s worth saying that the LG GD910 got some serious competition. Samsung’s baby may not come with a 3G radio, but I don’t think that’s something watch phone owners really need. It’s the look that sells these devices, and considering that the S9110 looks super-cool in that stainless steel metal body and with leather wrist belt, it should sell well.

Specs wise, the S9110 comes with a 1.76-inch touchscreen, dual-band (900/1800 MHz) GSM radio, music player, Bluetooth, voice recognition, 40MB of internal memory, scratch resistant glass, 630mAh battery, and email support. At just 11.98 mm, it’s reportedly the world’s thinnest watch phone, though we haven’t checked this thoroughly.

As for the release date and pricing, Samsung will start selling the S9110 in France for 450 EUR, which is about $639. Exact release date is unknown at this stage, but we don’t think French will have to wait for too long to grab one of these. We wish Samsung a good luck, and are looking forward to try the S9110 ourselves.

We have a new shot of the upcoming HTC Click. As you can see, this photo is much better one, and we’re hoping the Taiwan-based company is approaching the day when it will go all official with the launch. Personally, I think the Click could change many things. Apparently, we’re talking about a low-end, affordable Android phone, which if sold for about $300 unlocked, it could expand Google’s mobile OS reach into many places where it was not available before. We’ll certainly keep watching the space, so stay tuned…
