Motorola  is prepares to release an unusual smartphone, namely Motorola FlipOut. The square phone will be available in black, green and pink color versions. Motorola FlipOut is made in square-shape.

The Motorola FlipOut is built on a 700MHz processor and running on Android 2.1 paired with Motorola BLUR UI. Motorola FlipOut is equipped with a full QWERTY keyboard, a 2.8-inch display, a 3.1MP camera, GPS, 256MB RAM, 512MB internal memory. This Motorola’s square-shape Android handset supports GSM and UMTS/HSDPA. The Motorola FlipOut will become available in US market begin in June 2010.

Motorola  is going prepare release two new clamshell phone, namely Motorola i897 Amphora and Motorola WX415 Heartland. Based on its name, Motorola i897 Amphora is an iDEN phone and it is like the other, such as Motorola i1, Motorola i890 or Motorola i296 Gallo. The Motorola i897 Amphora has a Ferrari logo at below the internal display, which is probably a Moto Ferrari phone.

Motorola i897 Amphora iDEN has support for FTP, AVRCP1.3, A2DP, and Wireless PTT over BT feature.

The Motorola WX415 Heartland is one of the WX series phone and a CDMA phone for South and North America. It packs an external music controls and an external display.

Motorola  has just announced six budget mobile phones, the Motorola WX series. The six new phones are Motorola WX181, Motorola WX161, Motorola WX260, Motorola WX265, Motorola WX290 and Motorola WX295.

The Motorola WX161 and WX181 is candybar phone with FM radio and built-in flashlights (light torch). The Motorola WX161 is equipped with a 1.3-inch screen, while the Motorola WX181 is 1.5-inch display.

Motorola WX260 is an inexpensive phone with candybar form. It is equipped with FM tuner, WAP browser, Bluetooth 2.0, a microSD card slot (up to 2GB), MP3 player, and a color display. Its battery provides up to 11 hours in music mode.

Motorola WX265 is similar to the Motorola WX260 but in a clamshell form factor.

Motorola WX290 and WX295 (candy bar and clamshell) is support MMS feature and photo camera. It is equipped with a 1.8-inch display, camera and LED flashlight. Other feature is similar to Motorola WX260 and WX265.

Motorola has officially introduced their Android smartphone, called Motorola i1, which was formerly known as Motorola Opus One. It is the world’s first Push-to-Talk rugged smartphone to running on Android OS and the first Android phone that designed for iDEN (800/900/2400 MHz) network.

The Motorola i1 Android Smartphone is equipped with 3.1-inch touchscreen display with resolution of 320×480 pixels (HVGA), 5MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g, 2.5mm audio jack, GPS, a microSD/microSDHC card slot (2GB card included) and a microUSB port. Its battery is a 1400 mAh that provides up to four days of battery life in standby mode and up to 3.5 hours in talktime.

Motorola i1 uses the Android 1.5 with integrated Google services (Google Maps, Gmail, etc.) and WebKit browser with support for Adobe Flash Lite. In additional, it has brings Opera Mini 5, Swype virtual keyboard, and Microsoft Document Viewer application for viewing MS Office files.
Motorola i1 Smartphone is meet U.S. military standard, MIL STD 810-F that protected from dust, water, vibration and shock. Dimensions of Motorola i1 smartphone are 58×118×12.8 mm and weight is 132g.

The Motorola Opus originally came out last December but now it looks like the same phone will be coming out by next month, possibly at the CTIA Wireless in Las Vegas. However, it will be called the i1 and will run on Android 1.5 and features a 3MP camera.

This will be an iDEN device which means it will have a push-to-talk functionality

The second Android smartphone for mobile operator Verizon has officially been presented yesterday.

Motorola and mobile operator Verizon Wireless have officially introduced Android-smartphone Motorola Devour, previously known as Motorola Calgary.

Devour is equipped with a 3.1-inch capacitive touch display with HVGA resolution (320 x 480 pixels) and full QWERTY-keyboard. The list of characteristics of the smartphone includes a 3-megapixel camera with fixed focus, support for GPS-navigation (A-GPS), Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules, an accelerometer, a 3.5-mm audio connector and a slot for microSD memory cards of up to 32 GB ( 8 GB microSD-card is included). Battery capacity of 1400 mAh provides up to 4.5 hours of talk time.

The smartphone is running Android 1.6 with MotoBlur user interface, simplifying access to social networks. There is also preinstalled HTML-browser with support for Adobe Flash Lite and Document Reader.

The dimensions of Motorola Devour are 115,5x61x15,4 mm, while weight is 180 grams.

Motorola Devour will appear in retail shops in March, but the price of the device is not announced yet.
