The LG Optimus was first presented at CES 2010 a couple of months ago, but more recently LG decided to come up with a new version named LG Optimus Z.

The only difference between the two devices is the version of the operative system, while the Optimus Z runs the Android 2.1, the Optimus Q makes use of Android 1.6. All the other specifications remain the same, which means it has a 3.5-inch touchscreen, a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor at 1GHz, and support for HD videos. At the moment there isn’t any information about its price but as always we will keep you updated with the news.

Bell has announced a new LG cellphone that will become available for purchase on the 3rd of June, more specifically the LG 231 which can be considered a basic flip-phone.

The LG 231 boasts a small 1.77-inch display screen and a basic 0.3-megapixel camera with 2x zoom. Other features include bluetooth, a speakerphone, and to listen to music there is a 2.5mm audio jack.

This is the Loop, a mobile phone concept in development by Autodesk and LG, and made for the blind.

Apparently, you wear it on a clip to be put on your clothing, and get info on the OLED display that apparently works via Braille, somehow.

I’m not certain why the visually impaired would need something like this, except perhaps to dial a number. I know that the buttons on my phone don’t have Braille, but they have a standard order on the phone.

Today AT&T and LG presented a special cellphone that goes by the name of LG Vu Plus, and what makes it different from the rest is that you can watch TV directly on the cellphone. This is an exclusive AT&T model that will become available for purchase on the 6th of June for $150 with a 2-year contract and a mail-in rebate of $50.

In terms of features the LG Vu Plus features HSPA at 7.2Mbps, a full QWERTY keyboard, and supports the AT&T Social Net, as well as AT&T Mobile TV which costs $10 per month.

South Korean company, LG Electronics and Verizon Wireless USA mobile operator introduced new smartphone, namely LG Fathom.

This handset is called as “global smartphone”, which is support the work in CDMA EV-DO, GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA network. Verizon LG Fathom has a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.2-inch touchscreen display, a 3.2MP camera, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, and a microSDHC card slot (up to 16 GB)

LG VS750 Fathom is powered by a 1GHz processor (probably Qualcomm Snapdragon processor). LG Fathom phone is running on Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS.

Versace has official announced its first mobile phone  in Seoul, South Korea, namely Versace Unique.
The Versace is in collaboration with ModeLabs Group and LG Electronics. Versace Unique handset is a luxury touchscreen and full-featured multimedia device that pure high-tech ceramic or handmade lacquers delicately framed with an 18K yellow gold finish or 316L grade stainless steel inlay. It also has wrapped in the finest handcrafted leather, embossed with the Medusa head in back of handset.
