Acer is likely to release its new smartphone, the Acer W11, on market sometime in this fall 2012 (probably October). The handset is a sliding phone with QWERTY on the horizontal form. New Acer W11 smartphone will run Windows Phone 8 Apollo operating system and becomes the first device to have WP8 OS on market.

According to rumors, the Acer W11 smartphone will boasts a dual-core processor but positioned as the low-end phone. Unfortunately, details of the Acer W11 smartphone are not available at moment.

As noted, Acer was released its first Windows Phone device last year and dubbed the Acer Allegro. As seen pictured above, the Allegro is the Acer’s first Windows Phone Mango handset.

Beside CloudMobile smartphone, Acer has also recently announced the Acer Liquid Glow. It will show off during MWC 2012 (Mobile World Congress) next week in Barcelona, Spain.
