Announced by Huawei back in February at MWC 2013, the new Ascend P2 smartphone will be released in the UK starting June – and Three is going to be the first British network to sell it.
Running Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, the P2 will support Three’s future LTE network, and currently works on DC-HSDPA. Its features include a 4.7 inch HD IPS Gorilla Glass display, NFC, Dolby Mobile Plus sound, 13MP rear camera, 1.3MP front-facing camera, quad-core 1.5GHz Huawei K3V2 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of internal memory, and MicroSD card support. The handset weighs 122 grams, measures 136.2 x 66.7 x 8.4 mm, and comes with a 2,420 mAh battery.
The P2 will be also available in other European markets, although we don’t know exactly when. In Germany, Amazon has priced the handset at €449 (unlocked, of course).
