Samsung has unveiled its first smartphone based on the Android 2.1operating system.
Smartphone Samsung M100S is expected to go on sale in South Korea next month. The company has not announced whether the new mobile phone will be also available on the mobile markets of other countries or not.
Samsung M100S most significant features include a 3.7-inch touchscreen AMOLED-display with WVGA resolution, a processor with a frequency of 800 MHz, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 2.1 modules, a GPS chipset, mobile TV receiver T-DMB, a 5-megapixel camera with video recording with resolution 720p, a 3,5-mm audio connector, as well as a slot for microSD memory cards.
The device differs with simplified access to social networks and is controlled by the Android 2.1operating system and the latest version of the TouchWiz user interface.
