Slider Nokia 7230, which was announced last month, has been tested in the U.S. Federal Communications Commission.

FCC reaffirmed support of slider Nokia 7230 for 3G-networks in the 850/1900 MHz bands, which means that it will, most likely, appear in the list of mobile phones of U.S. operator AT & T and Canadian operator Rogers or Fido.

The Nokia 7230 has different stylish design and good functionality, including a 2.4-inch display with a resolution of QVGA, Bluetooth 2.1 module, 3,5-millimeter audio jack, FM-tuner, 3.2-megapixel camera and a slot for MicroSD memory card as well as the Nokia Maps application. On the other hand no support for GPS-navigation or Wi-Fi module is available on the phone.

In Europe, the price for the Nokia 7230 is about $150. As it is known, the implementation of mobile technology in the U.S is made through a retail network of mobile operators, so the contract price of the Nokia 7230 is difficult to predict yet.
