Company LG Electronics announced another record of sales of phone LG Cookie.
The sales of phone LG Cookie, production of which began in November 2008, has exceeded 10 million copies. Back in July sales volume of this phone was 5 million units. Over 5 million out of the ten million LG Cookie was sold in Europe, more than 2 million – in Asia and more than 2 million – in Latin America.
“Record sales adds credibility to our policy study of consumer demand and supply of thouch phones, combining excellent performance with a stylish design,” – said Skott Ahn, the president of LG Electronics Mobile Communications.
Indeed, realizing the LG Cookie in any given region, the company tries to take into account the specifics of the market. For example, in the Czech Republic, where hockey is very popular, LG Cookie is sold with pre-hockey game and a screensaver featuring the logo of the sports club Sparta Prague. In the Middle East, Cookie is offered with the electronic version of the Koran and a compass pointing to Mecca. It is expected that the next version of LG Cookie will be presented in February at the exhibition Mobile World Congress Event.
