We’ve already given you a glimpse at the N900, but as of today, you Yanks in the crowd can wrap your own limber paws around Nokia‘s hero device. Admittedly tailored for enthusiasts and developers to use while the company maneuvers Maemo into its product line, the N900 is now available through Nokia Flagship stores in New York and Chicago, the firm’s website and “various independent retailers and e-tailers.” A tidy sum of $649 (or $510 if you’re smart enough to check Amazon) nabs you an unlocked version with a 5 megapixel camera, 32GB of internal storage and a bombastic, Flash-lovin’ web browser. Ain’t no shame in lusting after one, but tell us earnestly — are you forking out nearly seven bills to bring one home?
Samsung’s Corby devices are ideal for youth and emerging markets. In the latter sense, we have the Korean company bringing two phones from the series to India. The “world’s fastest growing mobile phone market” will get the CorbyTXT as well as Corby Mate, which will be available for Rs. 7,900 and Rs. 7,300, respectively.
The first of the two, CorbyTXT (B3210) comes with a 2.2-inch screen, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth connectivity support, 3.5mm headphone jack, FM Radio and a microSD memory card slot. As for the Corby Mate, its screen is little smaller (2-inches), and it has a side-slider form factor, whereas rest of the specs are pretty much the same. Both handsets come with full QWERTY keyboard and are thus ideal for heavy texters…

Samsung has introduced its new Android-smartphone Galaxy Spica i5700 for Europe.
Let us remind that the first photographs of the smart phone from “reliable sources” began to appear about a month ago through the portal Frandroid, which is dedicated to Android-devices. Today Samsung officially presented its Android-smartphone called Galaxy Spica i5700. According to the manufacturer, the novelty is already available in Europe, and its appearance in the mobile markets of Asia and other countries is planned for the near future.
Galaxy Spica i5700 is made in the standard candy bar for this class of devices with a large touch screen. The smartphone will run on one of the latest versions of the operating system Andoid from Google. Among the most interesting features of new items it is worth mentioning quite fast 800 MHz processor and support for DivX, which appears in the first Android-smartphones. It is expected that the phone will be optimized to work with multiple services from Google and social networks.

The device has a 3.2-dm touch screen, a processor with a clock speed of 800MHz, 3.2-megapixel camera, 1GB built-in memory card slot for microSD format cards, GPS-receiver, 3.5-mm audio connector and the battery capacity of 1 500mAch. In addition, the corporate Processor Samsung DNSe 2.0 (Digital Natural Sound engine) will provide excellent quality sound reproduction. The new mobile phone from Samsung is only 13.2mm thick.
As mentioned above the Galaxy Spica has a built-in support for DivX and supports the work with such services as Google Search, Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube and Google Talk.
The faceplate of Samsung Galaxy Spica has two bright red accent – around the navigation button and the dynamics. On the back side of the phone you can see the Android logotype.
The portfolio of the Korean manufacturer includes several more Android-communicators, including the i7500 Galaxy, Moment and Behold II.
For those who have been checking out T-Mobile’s public release of the new BlackBerry Bold 9700, hold your horses – AT&T’s offer is coming soon. Business customers can already get their mitts on the next generation BlackBerry Bold immediately, but AT&T’s public availability for the 9700 has been announced for November 22. The $199.99 on-contract price point remains identical to T-Mobile, and the device itself keeps all the same fixings, like 3.2 megapixel camera, 480 x 360 display, 256 MB of application memory, slim form factor, and snazzy new optical trackpad. If you’re on AT&T and looking to pick this up, mark November 22 on your calendar, and keep an eye out for our review of the device this week!

After a protracted “let’s be absolutely certain we’re in the clear” period, T-Mobile has gone ahead and lifted its self-imposed moratorium on Sidekick sales following that little meltdown you may have heard about. Oh, and there’s a bonus, too: they’re a little cheaper this time around. The Sidekick 2008 has dropped to $49.99 on contract while the top-of-the-line LX 2009 has shed $25 down to $149.99 on contract, so if you were looking for an excuse to live dangerously with your precious address book, this might be as good of a reason as any. Then again, what are the odds of lightning striking twice?

LG has officially announced the Shine II, which we’ve already seen in “in the wild” photos back in August. Compared to its predecessor, the new device doesn’t bring much new to the table with only visible change being in the D-pad that’s now placed on the top part of the slider mechanism.
Rest of the specs include a 2.2-inch QVGA screen, 2-megapixel camera with flash and video recording capability, GPS, 3G, Bluetooth, music player, email and IM clients pre-loaded, Java 2.0 support, and so on.
AT&T has picked up the Shine II and it will start selling the phone on November 22nd for $119.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate and with contract…
