Here’s another Samsung device you probably won’t be able to try out. It’s SCH-W860 and it has been launched for Korea’s SK Telecom. We’re talking about a slim clamshell phone that looks kinda cool-ish thanks to the brushed aluminum exterior. There are also six different LEDs and metallic keys, which additionally say it’s not a super-cheap phone.

Specs wise, the W860 comes with a 2.2-inch QVGA screen, HSDPA support, 2-megapixel camera, Bluetooth, media player, and a microSD memory card slot. Moreover, the phone comes with SOS function, video/music on demand, Subway Maps, and e-dictionary. No word on pricing, but considering the features, I would expect that Koreans could grab it for about $100-$150 on a contract…

Samsung’s smarter than a smartphone Jet handset is being offered in pink and white in Korea. Actually it’s the Haptic AMOLED W850/W8500/W8550 (depending on the carrier partner) we’re talking about, but that’s only a different name the Korean giant uses to sell the all-touchscreen baby in its own backyard. Actually, the Korean version has a bit larger display (3.5-inch as opposed to 3.1-inch) and a built-in T-DMB mobile TV receiver. Rest of the specs are unchanged, and in that sense I’ve no doubts Samsung will see the Jet being offered in multiple color options around the world, as well. It looks like Samsung wants to test this in the domestic market prior to exporting it elsewhere…

Here are some pictures of an unreleased Chinese handset, the Sunno S880, that supposedly will dual boot both Android and Windows Mobile. If that alone weren’t enough of a selling point, the specs are pretty dang good, too.

  • 3.6″ WVGA display
  • Wi-fi, GPS
  • 8 megapixel camera with lens cover
  • 806 Mhz processor, 256/128 MB of memory

We’ve seen scrappy developers pull off the Android dual-boot trick on the Nokia N95, but it’ll be interesting to see a proper manufacturer build in the feature from scratch.  It would certainly be nice to have Windows Mobile for its versatility and software selection, and be able to switch to Android for its smoother user interface. If you’re in a position to pick one up, the Sunno S880 should be going on sale October 15th.

With all the different versions of the device, Samsung is well on its way to reach itsmilestone to sell 10 million units of its all-touchscreen S5230 Star feature phone, which is also known as Tocco Lite in the UK. Announced alongside the more powerful 5600 model, the Star is an affordable handset which lacks 3G, but packs a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen and the Korean giant’s easy-to-use TouchWIZ interface. In that sense, we’re not surprised at all to see them moving these babies “at rocket speed” as they say it in the press release.

Here are some sale figures from the last few months:

  • May – more than 700,000 S5230 units sold
  • June – 900,000
  • July – 1.6 million
  • August – 1.8 million

Will they reach the 10 million units sold milestone? Most likely YES!

It was back in July when we first saw the Motorola A45 Murano. Now it has been officially announced in Brazil as MOTOCUBO A45. The name makes perfect sense considering the device look and feel – it is kinda ugly, to be fair. Still, it offers the full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and is hence ideal for heavy texters. Rest of the specs include EDGE connectivity, QVGA screen, Bluetooth, music player, standard 3.5mm headset jack, 2-megapixel camera, FM Radio with RDS, and a microSD expansion slot (2GB card memory card comes in the box). Pre-loaded software includes Google Maps, some games (Spore, The Sims 2), and a social networking app that allows quick access to Facebook, Orkut and MySpace.

Perhaps the most notable thing about the MOTOCUBO is the fact that the 25% of the phone is made out of recycled plastic bottles, making it an ideal choice for eco-friendly texters… At least those who are willing to pay 549 Brazil reais (about $293) in order to grab one.

A full-touchscreen phone from Samsung has shown its face, apparently called the S3650 Corby, and packs a lot of style for its modest specs.

  • Quad-band GSM connectivity with GPRS and EDGE
  • 2.8 inch QVGA touchscreen display
  • Access to YouTube, MySpace and Facebook
  • Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP
  • MP3 player
  • FM radio
  • 2MP camera
  • MicroSD card support
  • 103 x 57 x 13 mm
  • 92 grams

The Corby’s rumoured price point will be in the neighbourhood of €200 ($286), and this thing has apparently already passed through the FCC, so we may be seeing it in the U.S. sometime soon. Considering the French TouchWiz user interface, we can probably expect an earlier launch in France.

How many hours have you spent in Google, Yahoo or MSN and searched for Free Ringtones? And how lucky were you? I think 1 out of 100, since that has been the case with me all the time. But I managed to find the songs on Youtube, though, you can’t put videos as your ringtones.

Not a while ago I introduced a free ringtone site and today also, I would like to introduce another great resource that I got across. Here is a wide range of free ringtones, music, wallpapers, videos and at last, great games. The site is called MyMojo.com.

More Free Ringtones

I went over the site and it was quite simple to use, preview the ringtones directly on the site before downloading or sending it to your mobile.

This is a great source downloading and creating 100% free mobile content. I would suggest you to joing the community and you’ll have immediate access to all of MyMojo’s features!
